Ukraine Relief

In 2022 the Lora Bay Foundation recognized the difficulties being experienced by the people and families fleeing the hardships of the war in the Ukraine. When reaching out to local support groups, the Foundation discovered that many of these displaced families were moving into the area. These families were arriving with very few resources and were badly in need of the basics.

Working with Grey-Bruce Settlement and Language Services, and with the support of the Lora Bay Men’s and Ladies’ Golf Section, LBF made a $7000 donation.

With over 50 displaced Ukrainians in the area, and more continuing to arrive, the funds will provide much needed support in helping them to become established in their new lives. From helping kids participate in activities and sports to providing needed winter clothes and basic groceries, the funds made a difference.
