Lora Bay Foundation Wellness Gymnasium has Become a Reality!

The generosity of the Lora Bay community and surrounding area has allowed the Lora Bay Foundation Wellness Gymnasium to become a reality.

In the fall of 2023, LBF met with Brightshores Health Systems regarding how to support the new Wellness and Recovery Centre and from those meetings made a long-term commitment to raise the funds to build and support the Centre’s gymnasium. An ambitious target of $250,000 was set. A financial target that is vital to support the Brightshores’ Wellness and Recovery Centre - a centre designed to combat the ravages of addiction and mental health issues. Physical activity has been identified as critical to recovery and long-term success in defeating addiction, with regular and structured physical activity providing an alternative to ingrained addiction behaviour. Activity that will be aided by the LBF Wellness Gymnasium.

Together we made it happen and achieved the $250,000 goal!
